Each Yoga and Healing course offers a fresh opportunity to explore in simple and practical ways the meaning and link between yoga and healing. Each session provides a precious and safe space to nourish your body and your being with body awareness, relaxation, meditation practices as well as gentle physical movements that support your overall body, health, well-being, growth of awareness and the development of your quality of presence/stillness in today’s fast pace day-to-day living. Every course is different as tailored to the needs of the specific group.
How are you and how is your body feeling? Truly feeling….
In light of the already high – and still increasing – rates of exhaustion, anxiousness, illness and disease, levels of tension we hold in our body in our society today, what is being reflected to us in relation to our quality of being and the quality of our everyday choices of living? Obviously something does not work.
Yoga and Healing are both very relevant today. Yoga means “Union” and refers to our natural and harmonious state of being and way of living where we hold our inward connection with ourselves and a solid quality of conscious presence in all that we do, say and think – ALL of the time. Healing is about bringing honesty to all our daily choices, understanding why we make the choices that we make (being sabotaging/harmful or loving/supportive choices), discarding the layers of what we are not and choosing the right source of energy to live from. As we gradually heal, we let go of our hurts, our awareness expands, self-love builds in our body, and both love and harmony gradually and naturally return to all facets of our life – bridging us to live in the beauty and simplicity of who we truly are, “in Yoga”.
Each course will have a particular theme, and will include:
- The opportunity to fully stop, nurture, feel, re-connect/deepen your connection with your inner essence and body
- The Gentle Breath Meditation™ and other simple meditation techniques that can easily be integrated in your everyday life
- Gentle physical movements to look after your physical body (strengthen, stretch, coordination/balance, release muscular tension etc) – performed in a way that supports the development of body connection and conscious presence both in class and daily life
- Body awareness and rejuvenating lying down practices
- Relevant group sharing, discussions and Q&A time.
All welcome. You do not need to be fit, flexible or even well* to attend. *If you have a medical condition, please get clearance from your medical practitioner prior to enrollment, or inquiry further.
Instructor: Alexandra Plane is an experienced yoga/meditation instructor and esoteric therapies practitioner dedicated to sharing with others a style of yoga that supports and cares for the whole of the body and its being, whilst allowing people to explore their true gentleness and the deeper honesty and integrity it brings to everyday choices.
Investment: $120 for 6 week course. Casual attendance ($22) currently possible. Bookings essential.
What to bring: thick yoga mat (wooden floor), comfortable clothing (layers best – it can become quite distractive to be too warm or too cold), your mean of hydration, a small cushion or blanket (as desired to support your body for lying down or seated practices). Spare mats and blankets available – please advise if needed
